Virginia Tech - Memorial fund

PayPal—eBay's service to make fast, easy, and secure payments for your eBay purchases!

As an alumnus of Virginia Tech, I volunteered many hours to improve that school. Seems that it needs more help in a material way. So, I'd like to reach out to the greater community to to raise some funds.

My modest goal is to raise $1,000 to contribute to the newly established memorial fund. If you would like to do something to help in this national tragedy, please consider supporting my efforts with a financial contribution.

I can process checks and paypal payments. Please email me at:

minnesotamarcus(at)gmail.com

for either my mailing address or paypal email address. I'll combine donations, make a bigger one under "Support from Minnesota", and will follow up with a fundraising summary to all contributors. Thank you.

VT 2

Can't believe it took the administration *2 hours* to compose the
following cautionary note <I am really angry about this incompetence>:

Oh, crap, the gunman may have been a foreign student:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Tech_shootings

"The Chicago Sun-Times has reported that the shooter may have been a 24-year-old Chinese national in the United States on a student visa:
"The 24-year-old man arrived in San Francisco on United Airlines on
Aug. 7 on a visa issued in Shanghai, the source said.[16]"

Not a good thing for our foreign relations.

Tragedy at my Alma Mater

Crazy day. Heard about the shootings at Virginia Tech. I did grad
school there. I'm in shock. Ugh.

Minnesota brrrh...

Okay, so, I knew the warm weather could not last. It's getting
really cold again in Minneapolis. Just ordered a new straight bar
road bike from REI-outlet. It should get here next week. Cold or no
cold, I'm going to hit the Greenway trail and bike to my heart's
content. This is a much better way to get some exercise than the gym
membership I am paying for but not using.
